Artificial Intelligence and how we use it.
And when we don’t.

We live in an incredible age of technological change. At Phantom Limb, we pride ourselves on being at the bleeding edge of this revolution. We constantly evaluate the latest tools and incorporate those that help us achieve the creative vision we and our clients have.

However, it is important to distinguish between AI tools and the kind of AI which superficially appears to be a drop-in replacement for creativity. Taking the human element out of the creative process is a mistake and only leads to an echo chamber of self-referential sameness.

Just as the Desktop Publishing revolution, digital film and photography led to new ways of working, AI has already transformed the way we operate. However, at Phantom Limb, we believe in a measured and ethical use of AI tools, applying them where appropriate, but not as lazy substitutes for critical thinking and artistic problem-solving.

We’re happy to work with clients who appreciate the distinction, and if clients want a guarantee of no AI usage in their work, we’re happy to meet their needs.
